Work to start on Regal Chambers Refurbishment

Dated: 1-Oct-09

Starting on early October 2009 the Regal Chambers Surgery will be in a state of refurbishment. Most of the ground and first floors will be either reconstructed or refurbished to give patients access to a more modern and better laid out surgery.  This will enable us to meet the additional services that a modern day Health Service demands for its patients.

It will be necessary for us to change our appointments system during this period.  Please keep a lookout on the website and patient notice boards for any upcoming changes that may apply to you.

The present building, which stands on the site of the old town cinema, was primarily used as general offices with a purpose built surgery on the ground floor. The surgery has been at home here for 21 years and, because of the growing population and greater requirements by Government and patients, has expanded into the first floor.

Our landlords have always enabled the surgery to run efficiently and allowed changes to be made where necessary but now the time has come for major alterations to take place and this will be happening during the next 6 months.  The work will be carried out in several phases.
