Renew a prescription

For patients on regular medication your doctor may issue you with a repeat prescription request. This will save you having to see the doctor each time you need more medication. The request may be handed in or posted to the surgery.

Please allow two working days before you call to collect the new prescription. If you wish us to post the prescription back to you, please enclose an SAE and allow a little longer for your prescription to reach you.

Alternatively, you can ask one of the local chemists to collect your prescription. You can mark this on your request and we will ensure it is passed to them for collection.

If you ask someone to collect your prescription from the surgery on your behalf, please note that we will be unable to maintain your patient confidentiality in these circumstances.

We regret that staff cannot accept telephone requests for medication  as this can lead to serious errors.
